Second Opinion

Dr. Levine's office (Banner Good Sam) called me back on Fri. Dr. Levine is on vacation for three weeks so I have an April 4th appointment scheduled. Kim, the ALS Assoc. social worker, forewarned me that I'll probably need to undergo another EMG; however, Dr. Levine's assistant, Kerry, said it may not be necessary. If I have to have another one though she said it would be done during the first appointment. Dr. Levine's ALS Clinics are booking out into June at this point, so she scheduled me now for a June 18th ALS Clinic appointment with him. His office is in downtown Phoenix near Banner Good Samaritan, but we would go to the actual hospital for the ALS clinic.

It sounds like Dr. Levine's Kerry is efficient, scheduling you for the clinic as well. Hopefully she is right that you don't have to do the EMG; I can't imagine how awful it must be. I read in the book you loaned me how Darcy cried thru the whole test, and I wanted to cry thinking of you having to do yet another one...but hopefully NOT.

I hope you and Bob were able to think of other things this past weekend, and had a great time.
