I thought the leg cramping and soreness was only attributed to Disneyland and was thrilled when they weren't hurting so much, only it has been off and on since Disney. Last weekend was probably the worst camping I've had (waking up 4-6 times a night), but I slept through the night last night! This weekend my legs hurt so badly that just walking around normally in the house or at home depot was painful. Some days are worse than others but I'm not sure why; I've emailed the dr. but I'm waiting to hear back. I went shoe shopping to find sandals without heels for work because heels make my legs hurt worse . . . unfortunately, the only sandals I've seen without heels look like old lady shoes :-(
We are doing the heart walk this weekend and I'm a bit worried about that. I think I'm more worried about later that day or the next day than the actual walk itself. We'll see how it goes.
Bob found an article that looks promising (http://www.theness.com/neurologicablog/index.php?p=188). We will discuss with my dr. next week. During our last appointment Bob asked him about another research project that was underway, but the dr. didn't really have knowledge of it. Bob thinks if he doesn't know about this latest one when asked then it's time to start looking for a new dr. even if this guy is running the program at Barrows. Personally, his not being up on the news of the week doesn't bother as much as the lack of follow up when I call or email with questions. I sent an email on Mon and still haven't received a response as of today. When I've left messages in the past, I would be lucky to get a call back within three days. I'd like to think it's because they are busy responding to patients who are much worse off than me, but even still . . . Based on what I've read online, there is a dr. in Tucson at the UofA medical center that is supposed to be cutting edge. I don't know how realistic it would be to go to Tucson forever, but at least initially we may check him out.
Even in spite of the increased symptoms in my legs, my strength has remained the same this month which is great! So, emotionally it's been a good week. No changes = happy tasha = happy bob & tana :-)

Old lady shoes? Surely you jest! Old lady shoes are what you wear when you have to wear orthotics, and can no longer wear sandles!
It's all relevant...at your age I would have felt the same.
I would also want a doctor who returns e-mail or phone calls, or at least has someone return them.
My doctor (had my annual today) suggested checking with Mayo; she said they generally have top-notch doctors.
